Sarah Etta Elkins, age 79, of Murfreesboro, died Monday, February 27, 2012. She was a native of Cumberland County and the daughter of the late Joe and Roxie Woody Rector. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Pastor Mike Norris will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Elkins, sons, Barry Elkins and Mark Elkins, daughter, Rita (John) Bowen all of Murfreesboro, sisters, Violet Kowal of Crossville and Sue Markland of Xenia, OH,and Brenda Reed of Crossville, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Elkins was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and was employed by Sword of the Lord for 25 years before her retirement.
