SARA LOWE JERNIGAN, age 96, died Nov. 24, 2009. Mrs. Jernigan was a native of the Big Springs Community of Rutherford Co. and daughter of the late Will Newt and Izzie McCrary Lowe. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Pam Pilote, Rev. Paul Peak, and Cindy Browning officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jernigan is survived by two sons, Bobby (Jeanice) Jernigan of Murfreesboro, and . Dorris E. (Amelia) Jernigan Sr. of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Jernigan was married to the late W. Dorris Jernigan who died in 1999. Mrs. Jernigan was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a pre-school care-giver for over 35 years. She was a 1931 graduate of Buchanan High School. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
