Obituary

Sara Vaughn "Nanny" Hale, age 86 of Smyrna died Saturday December 7, 2013. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry, and Lillie Maud Toombs Vaughn, and daughters, Peggy Brown, and Bonnie Hale. Mrs. Hale was owner and operator of Sara's Flowers in Smyrna and had worked in the Florist business for over 40years. Mrs. Hale is survived by her sons; Jimmy Hale and wife Lois of Murfreesboro, Mike Hale and wife Nancy of Murfreesboro; son-in-law; Billy Brown of Smyrna; grandchildren, Tracy and Troy Hale, Rhonda Stewart, Donna Boynton, Michelle Hasty, Bubba Brown, Melissa Howse, Kirstie Howard, Kevin Hudgens, Charlie Hale and Nikki Hale; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fenney of Murfreesboro, special friend, Bonnie Craft. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Hale to National Breast Cancer Foundation, www.nationalbreastcancer.org Funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Steve Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery, family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna www.woodfinchapel.com
