Sarah Jane Cogdill, age 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away March 5, 2017.  She was a native of Bedford County, and daughter of the late Thomas and Rosa Foster Mallard.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Mike Gann officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Cogdill is survived by son, Jeffrey Cogdill and wife Susie of Murfreesboro;  daughter in law, Jolynn Lawson Cogdill of Naperville, IL; and her loving dog, Pee Wee.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Cogdill, Sr. and a son James Thomas Cogdill, Jr.

Mrs. Cogdill was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired owner and operator of The Flower Center for 26 years.
