SANDIE N. SMARON, age 57, passed away peacefully at Stone Crest Medical Center on July 18, 2010. She was born on August 6, 1952 in Redruth, England to the late Walter T. and Margaret J. Mason. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Fred and Dorothy Carveth. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Smaron, daughter, Heather, a student at Motlow State College, and her loving pet, Princess. In addition, sister, Linda J. Dodds and children, Savannah, Kevin, and Ernie of Pennsylvania, also brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David J. and Tracey L. Smaron of Knoxville. Sandie graduated from South Allegheny High School in Liberty Boro, PA in 1970 and was a graduate of Key Punch School in Pittsburgh, PA. Upon marriage she moved to Murfreesboro from Glassport, PA. She was employed by the YMCA as a Nursery and Teen Center employee in addition to a Substitute Teacher through Holland Temporary Service for Blackman Schools. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blackman Middle School, YMCA (Teen Center), or American Cancer Society in her memory. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Wednesday and from 8:00 until 10:00am Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service at 10:00am Thursday at the Chapel.
