SAMUEL ARTHUR TURNER JR., age 84, of Murfreesboro, died July 28, 2009 at V.A. Medical Center. He was a native of Warren County and the son of the late Samuel A. and Nannie Mae Jones Turner Sr. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Bryson Turner. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at North Boulevard Church of Christ. Brother Marion West will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Woodbury. Visitation will be at noon on Thursday prior to the service at North Boulevard Church of Christ. Mr. Turner is survived by his son and daughter in law; Michael and Lisa Turner of Murfreesboro, two sisters; Imogene Byars of McMinnville and Joyce (C.L.) Wallace of Murfreesboro, four grandchildren; Terah Turner of Murfreesboro, Amy Danielle (David) Sadoski of Lyles, TN., Michael Turner and Matthew Turner both of Murfreesboro and one great grandchild; Justin Turner of Lyles, TN. Mr. Turner was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II and retired postal service employee.
