SAMUEL WAYNE BAILEY, age 74, of Murfreesboro died Sunday, December 28, 2008. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 19, 1934 to the late Samuel White and Nina Doehler Bailey. He was also preceded in death by five sisters. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm Friday at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father James Kallarackan, OFM, will officiate. He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Judy Bailey, sister: Lucille Darr of Cincinnati, OH, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Bailey was a 1953 graduate of High School in Antioch, IL. He then attended Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH, Lake Forest College, and graduated in 1958 from Rolla Missouri School of Mines with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1959 until 1961. He retired from AMC/Chrysler in Kenosha, WI after 28 years of service as a mechanical engineer and continued consulting with Nissan from 1989 to 1991 and Ford Glass from 1991 to 1993.
