Sallye Phillips Barnes, age 67, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Peachtree Nursing Home. A native of Murfreesboro, she was preceded in death by her husband John D. Barnes, Father; Rev. Walter E. Phillips, and brother; Buddy Phillips. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bucky Phillips will officiate. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Barnes is survived by her mother; Dorothy Rushing Berg of Murfreesboro, her brother; Rev. Bucky Phillips of Murfreesboro, half brothers; Brian Phillips of Nashville and Clayton Phillips of Walter Hill, and her half sister; Janet Phillips of Nashville.
