Ryan Douglas "Doug" Summar, age 80 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Houston and Annie Mae Reed Summar. Doug was also preceded in death by his wife, Marlena Bryan Summar who died in 2016, brothers, Kenneth and Bobby Summar, and sisters, Mable Summar and Vicie Faith.

Doug is survived by his son, Todd Summar and his wife Joy of Lascassas, TN; daughter, Tamera Neely and her husband, Jeff of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Lucas Neely, Matt Neely, Zac Neely, McCall Dunaway, and Mason Summar; great-grandchildren, Evie Neely, Ava Grace Neely, Hudson Neely, Cale Dunaway, Emmett Dunaway, Adelynn Summar, and Baylor Summar; and sister, Sue Young of Texas.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM following the visitation with Bro. David Young officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Lucas Neely, Matt Neely, Zac Neely, Mason Summar, John Dunaway, and Greg Young serving as pallbearers.

Doug was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ and a retired Home Builder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 20/20 Vision at North Boulevard Church of Christ in memory of Doug.
