RUTH HARNEY YOUREE, age 92, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Blvd. Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late James L. & Belle McNabb Harney. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Duggin and her husband Ivan of Murfreesboro; sons, Mack Youree and his wife Beverly of Trenton, Tn. and James Hall Youree, III of Orlando, Fla.; brother, Rev. Joe Frank Harney and his wife, Evelyn of Thomaston, Ga.; grandchildren, Richard Youree and his wife, Tonya, Rod Youree, Mark Duggin and his wife, Julie and Emily Duggin. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Eugene Cotey officiating. Visitation with the family will be after the service at the home of the daughter from 3-6 pm on Wednesday. Mrs. Youree was married to the late James Hall Youree, Jr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. James Lee Harney Jr. and her sisters, Hazel Patrick, Sue Belle McCrary and Rosalee Richardson. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and loved working with children. She was known for having a big heart and gift of hospitality. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Youree may be made to Hospice of Murfreesboro.
