RUTH D. WESTERFIELD, age 80, of Murfreesboro died Thursday, October 14, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Byrd and Alice Johnson Delaney. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday at Franklin Road Baptist Church. Dr. Mike Norris will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, James W. Westerfield, daughters, Linda Newman and her husband Phillip of Cookeville, Patsy Smith of Winchester, sons, Billy Medley of Hermitage, Darrel Medley and his wife Joan of Chattanooga, sister, Sue Dyer, brothers, Bill Delaney and wife Judy, Dillard Delaney and wife Jo of Cookeville, grandchildren, Sabrina Stidham, Shea Barnett, Colby Newman, Krissa Barclay, Annette Martin, Ryan, Gabe, Justin and Sarah Medley, great grandchildren, Jo Donn Jared, Molly and Delaney Barclay, Alena and Andrew Martin, Byron and Camden Medley, stepchildren, Donovan Westerfield of Bowling Green, KY, Rhonda Mather of Bowling Green, KY, Jason Westerfield of Murfreesboro, step grandchildren, Michelle Jones, James E. Westerfield, Jason W. Westerfield, Jr., step great grandchildren, Preston Jones, Matthew Jones, Bayly Jones. Mrs. Westerfield was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church.
