Ruth Amanda L'Hommedieu, age 97, of Murfreesboro, passed away May 8, 2017. S he was a native of Newark, Delaware and daughter of the late Charles Henry and Elsie May Gicker Moore.

Mrs. L'Hommedieu is survived by her children Edith Ruth Dewey (James) and Douglas Charles L'Hommedieu (Patsy Atkins) both of North Carolina and Judith Ellen Heim (William) of Lascassas.  Six grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Douglas Harvey L'Hommedieu.

Mrs. L'Hommedieu was a member of Northminister Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro.

A celebration of Mrs. L'Hommedieu's life will be held May 20, 2017 at Avondale Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
