Ruth Beatrice Johns, age 90, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Mrs. Johns was the daughter of the late James Harold and Elizabeth Byrd Tapley. She is also preceded in death by her husband William Johns. Mrs. Johns is survived by her daughters Carol Ruth Gilbert of Mt. Juliet, TN and Betty Ann Hood of Gunnison, MS; sons Ronnie William Johns of Murfreesboro, TN and James Walter Johns of Wilson, AR; brother John William Tapley; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00am until Noon Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna, TN and 9:00am until 11:00am Saturday at National Funeral Home, Clarksdale, MS.
