Ruth Burgess, age 83 of Smyrna died Sunday May 10, 2015. She was a native of Nashville and was the daughter of the late, Wallace and Gertrude Deweese Richardson. Mrs. Burgess was a member of LifePoint Church in Smyrna and a 1950 Graduate of North High School. She was retired Dietician Supervisor at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Burgess is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Burgess; children, Becky Henderson and husband Robin of Smyrna, Steve Burgess and wife Regina of Gallatin; grandchildren, Jeremy Stanfield and wife Brittany of Murfreesboro, Brian Burgess of Gallatin; great-grandson, Colt Stanfield; brother, Jerry Richardson of Nashville. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Dr. Lenny Farmer will officiate. Graveside service will be 2:00PM Wednesday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
