RUSSELL RUSS F. EAGLE, JR. age 48 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He was a native of Murfreesboro, TN and was preceded in death by his father Russell F. Eagle, Sr. Russ is survived by his beloved wife and family, Malinee McCollough Eagle, son, Ryan Eagle and daughter Sara Eagle all of Murfreesboro, TN. He is also survived by mother, Carole Luttrell Wyman and step-father, DeLacy Mulford Wyman of Knoxville, TN, sisters, Candice Eagle and Dena Reed both of Knoxville, TN, and Caroline McClintock of Greensboro, NC, father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Martha McCollough of Murfreesboro, an aunt and several nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his grandparents L. C. and Mildred Mom and Pop Luttrell. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Ron Harper officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Russ was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC. He graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law in 1986 and practiced law for over 20 years. Russ started practicing law with Womble, Carlisle, Sandridge and Rice in Winston-Salem, NC, later partnering with Daniel, Burton and Eagle Law Office in Murfreesboro and associated with Sonya Henderson on Main Street in Murfreesboro. Russ was a member of the Rutherford Cannon County Bar Association, Tennessee Trial Lawyers, and Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was also a member of the Honorary Order of the Kentucky Colonels and an avid UT football fan. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
