Ruby Faulkner, age 92, of Milton, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2016. A native of Rutherford County she was preceded in death by her parents Cleve and Birder Smotherman Barrett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elam Lee Faulkner; brother, Joe Barrett; and sister, Cornelia Cawthorn.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Tim Fisher, Brother Darrel Whaley and Brother Ken Elkins will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her four children, Lee Faulkner and his wife Melody of Sparta, TN, Wayne Faulkner and his wife Julia of Fayetteville, TN, Terry Faulkner of Milton and Martha Young and her husband Horace of Milton; sisters, Mary Sue Campbell McCrary, Louise Parker and Ophelia Merritt all of Rutherford County; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Faulkner was a member of Wards Grove Baptist Church. She was retired in food services with M.T.S.U. and was also a homemaker. Mrs. Faulkner loved farm animals, birds, cooking, gardening and more than anything her family. She will be greatly missed.

Barry, Jason, Coy, Kevin, T.J., Lucas, Wayne and Terry will serve as pallbearers. Great grandsons and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family gives a special thank you to Julia for being Ma's caregiver.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Faulkner can be made to Gentiva Hospice.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
