RUBY CHRISTEEN BOYD, age 91, of Murfreesboro, passed away April 24, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital. Mrs. Boyd was a native of Readyville, TN, and daughter of the late William Houston and Vestral Nolen Pittard. Mrs. Boyd is survived by a daughter, Nikki Y. Boyd of Nashville; sons, Earl Morris Strobush of Hawkinsville, GA, and Michael Russell Strobush of Memphis; a brother, Bob Pittard of Bellevue, NE; a sister, Ann Meador of Bowling Green, KY; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the late Russell Strobush and by her second husband, the late Weber Boyd; a daughter, Theyresa Renee Berg, and 4 brothers, William, Samuel, Robert, and Seaf Pittard. Mrs. Boyd was a 1939 graduate of Nashville Central high School. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.
