Roy "Leon" Baugh

Mr. Roy “Leon” Baugh, age 72, of Lavergne, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Born in Hytop, Alabama, he was the son of the late Gordon and Pauline Baugh. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Elaine Baugh and his brother Daryl Baugh.

Leon is survived by his son and best friend, Adam Baugh; his nine siblings, Judy (Clifford) Hutchens, Evon (Steve) McElyea, Margie (JR) Atchley, Lisa (Mark) Lankford, Mary (Michael) Nash, Wayne (Rita) Baugh, Marvin (Patricia) Baugh, Larry (Belinda) Baugh; sister-in-law, Cindy Baugh; his sweet dog, Opie, along with many, many, nieces and nephews.

Leon dedicated 47 years of service to Kennametal, where he was known for his strong work ethic and quiet, humble nature. He shared a cherished friendship with Adam, and the two enjoyed fishing, attending car shows, and vacationing together at the beach in Panama City, Florida. Leon will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he showed to everyone he met.

Visitation with the family will be held at Leon and Adams home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 12:00 PM until the memorial at 1:00 PM. A second service will be held at Paint Rock Baptist Church Life Center in Paint Rock, Alabama, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM until the Memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM.
