ROY MELVIN FARIS, age 73 of Smyrna died Friday February 18, 2011. He was born in Fayetteville TN and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Williams Faris; parents, George and Opal Hone Faris; grandson, Dillon Faris. Mr. Faris was retired from the U.S. Navy and after retirement worked as a Cabinet Maker. He was a member of Old Nashville Hwy Church of Christ. He is survived by his children, Chris Faris and wife Julie of Murfreesboro, Teresa Covington and husband Kevin of Antioch; grandchildren, Kaleb, Korey, Anaya Covington, and Luke Faris; sisters, Geneva Montgomery of Alabama, and Sally Webb of LaVergne. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Bro. Mike Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery with full Military Honors.
