Roy Eugene Mullins, age 78 of Murfreesboro, died Friday, December 8, 2017. He was a native of Little Rock, AR, and a son of the late Roy Allen Mullins and Dorothy Toland Mullins Tolbert. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mullins and a sister, Dolores Mullins Culpepper.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Trout Mullins; four children, Leo Mullins and wife Eunice and Bryan Mullins and wife Christine, all of Dallas, April Mullins Smith and husband Matthew of Murfreesboro, and Holly Mullins Williams and husband Jim of Beechgrove; a sister, Margaret Mullins McNeeley and husband John of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Christopher Mullins and Joshua Mullins, Parker and Mason Smith; three great grandchildren, Alex, Chloe, and Logan, as well as a host of other loving family and friends.

Mr. Mullins was a longtime member of the Blackman United Methodist Church and a U. S. Army National Guard veteran. He retired as a commercial construction superintendent and was a talented musician. His love of music followed him throughout his life.

A memorial service with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Blackman United Methodist Church with Bro. David Stockton and Pastor Gayle Watson officiating. Visitation will follow at the church.
