Obituary

Ross Hollenbaugh, age 73 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Sunday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Middletown, Ohio and a son of the late Deaner and Mary Belle Hawkins Hollenbaugh. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Hollenbaugh, and a nephew, John Martin, III.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Farless and her husband Daryl of Auburntown; a sister, De Martin and her husband John of Dacula, Georgia; step-daughter, Tauyna Roark and her husband Marvin Randall of Hamilton, Ohio; stepson, Chris Roark of Middletown, Ohio; grandchildren, Joshua Shields and his wife Elizabeth of Doral, Florida, Maria Beasley and Liam Farless, both of Auburntown; a great-grandson, Elijah Shields; nephew, Jared Martin and his wife Josie of Auburn, Georgia; special friends and adopted family, Nola Runk and her grandchildren, Lexi Webb, Nation Pitts; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Mr. Hollenbaugh was a United States Army Veteran and retired from AK Steel in 2007 after 42 years of service. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Disabled Veterans of America, and the American Legion Post #218. He had enjoyed many outdoor sports including fishing, golf, softball, shooting sports, as well as being an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until a memorial service with military honors beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.Bros. Phillip Robinson and Dakota Logan will officiate.
