Roselyn Waltz passed away at the Southminster Retirement Community in Charlotte, North Carolina, on January 24, 2016.
Roselyn, daughter of Fred and Velice Osborne of Midland, Ohio, was born on August 9, 1923. She grew up in Clinton County, graduating from Jefferson High School. She married William Clinton Waltz after WWII and they had three children: Cheryl Grimshaw (Robert), Susan Waltz (Jack Smith), and William Clinton Waltz II (Anne Brade), who survive her. She has two grandchildren, Abigail (Grimshaw) Dawe (Aaron) and Bryan Daniel Waltz Pierce (Danielle). In addition, she has two great grandchildren, Emerson Rose Dawe and Dannen Michael Pierce. Surviving her is a sister, Katherine Chaney, brother, Fred Osborne, along with several nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death, as well as her husband of 50 years, William (Clint), and a sister Jacqueline and a brother, Shirley (Short).
Roselyn worked by appointment as a secretary for the Pentagon during WWII. During their marriage Roselyn and Bill (Clint) traveled extensively and she was able to see all 50 states. Roselyn was an active member of each church she attended: North Dayton Baptist Church, First Baptist Murfreesboro and Calvary Baptist in Murfreesboro, fulfilling many teaching positions. She also served as a BSF facilitator and Gideon Auxiliary Leader in the State of Tennessee. Roselyn served as a volunteer at Middle Tennessee Medical Center for many years as well.
Her life was rich and giving and her motto was "To God Be the Glory." Roselyn loved doing things for others and her baked goods and roses were renowned in the neighborhood. She will be missed by her many friends and family.
The family would like to thank the caregivers who lovingly saw to Roselyn's care at Southminster Retirement Community in Charlotte, NC.

The immediate family will gather in Charlotte to remember Roselyn. In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, visitation with the family will be held at 11:00am on February 13th at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Mark Gregory will conduct a service at 12:30pm. The interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
