Rose Patterson, age 98 of Smyrna died Wednesday. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by parents, Will and Charity Langrell, husband, Jessie Patterson; children, Kenneth Allen Patterson, Walter Lee Patterson, and Herschel Patterson. Mrs. Patterson was a retired cook at David Youree Elementary School and a member of Old Jefferson Church of Christ. She is survived by sons; Tom Patterson of Murfreesboro, Jessie Patterson, Jr. of Smyrna, daughters; Rose Ann Lannon of Smyrna, and Ruby Bowen of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Brother Ron Caldwell and Brother Eddie Arnold officating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.
