Rondal G. Butt, age 79, of Arrington passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015. He was a native of Somerset, KY and the son of the late Mitchel and Beatrice Wesley Butt. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Godbey. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Church. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Monday at Parkway Baptist Church, Smyrna, TN. Bro. Dan Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Butt, daughters, Rhonda Baker and her husband Eddie of Hendersonville, Melanie Massa and her husband Jim of Murfreesboro, grandchildren, Christopher Massa, Houston Baker and Benjamin Massa, sister, Hollis Gleason of Somerset, KY, nieces, Debby Lyons and Michelle Godbey, brother-in-law, Richard Whitaker and his wife Janet, sisters-in-law, Jeanette Wright, Fran Roberts and her husband Ed, and Sheila Roberts and her husband Danny. Mr. Butt was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, served as deacon for many years, and was an active participant in the Helping Hands Ministry. He was a veteran who served in the US Army and a retired owner/operator in the Trucking Industry. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and PaPaw. Active pallbearers are Ed Roberts, Danny Roberts, Richard Whitaker, Eddie Baker, Jim Massa, Christopher Massa, Houston Baker, and Benjamin Massa.
