Ronald Leroy Stromgren, age 75 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday October 31, 2012 at his home. He was a native of Lake Bronson, Minnesota and was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruby Souder Stromgren, siblings, Reuben, Arlene, and Roger, and brother-in-laws Joe Clark, Rodney Hanson, his first wife, Shirley Mayo Stromgren, infant daughter, Bernice Stromgren, and step daughter; Jeanette Williams. Mr. Stromgren was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended Giles Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had worked for Wayne Young Electric Motors, and was retired from Bemis Packaging. Mr. Stromgren is survived by his wife, Marie Anderson Stromgren; children, Randy Stromgren and wife Kay Kay, Barbara Chaffin, Patricia Evans, Debbie Fann and husband Howard, Pam Manus and husband Bubba, Sandi Loftis and husband, Don, Annette Kemp, Nannette McElroy and husband Jeff; sixteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Clarice Hanson, and brother Wayne Stromgren; close family friend Marie Gentry; and devoted pet Cocoa. Memorial may be made to American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Vanderbilt Cancer Center doctors and staff for the special care, and Caris Healthcare.
