Ronald Boyd Johnson of Nixa, MO went to his rest on February 19, 2022.

Ron was born June 7, 1933 to Aaron and Mary Johnson in Chicago, IL.

He married Bettye Jean Wilson on October 4, 1953 in New Albany, MS.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War as an Aviation Electronics Technician.  He graduated from UCLA with a Masters in Engineering.  While in College he became a member of the IEEE maintaining his membership until his death.

He worked at ITT Gilfillan in Los Angeles until retiring in 1992.  His work took him to radar sites around the world.  He attended and was active with the Baptist Church throughout his adult life.

He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his children, Joyce Owens (Rick), Gayle Sungar, Ronald Timothy Johnson (Maddy), and Lawrence Aaron Johnson (Wendy); grandchildren, Trevor Owens, Dana Owens, Alana Sungar, Erin Johnson, Emily Johnson, Timothy Johnson, and Olivia Johnson; and great-grandchild, Cora Belle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
