Ronald "Ron" Earl Capps, age 74 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday August 4, 2015. A native of Muhlenberg County, KY, he was the son of the late Nina McIntosh Capps. Mr. Capps was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald Troy Capps, and a sister Gynell Vincent. Mr. Capps is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lyvette Pate Capps; father, E.G. Capps of Greenville, KY; son, Bryan Capps and his wife Sherry of Rockvale, TN; daughters, Robin Hoefflin and her husband Ken of Louisville, KY, and Beth Carney and her husband Michael of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Anthony Capps of Central City, KY; sisters, Marquinta Stewart of Louisville, KY, and Eileen Neal and Sherri Bryant both of Central City, KY; grandchildren, Ryan, Sydney, Dalton, and Micaiah Capps, Jason and Jacob Hoefflin; daughter in law, Dana Capps of Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kurt Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Capps was a Deacon and member of Riverdale Baptist Church, and retired from CSX Railroad. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, wii bowling, gardening, and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
