ROGER DALE SMITH, JR., age 24, of Smyrna, died Sunday, April 4, 2010. He was a native of Rutherford County and was a member of LifePoint Church in Smyrna. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sarah C. and D. Almon Maynard of Smyrna; father, Roger Dale Smith, Sr. of Clifton, TN; sister, Rebekah Suellen Smith of Smyrna; step sister, Kelly Maynard of Murfreesboro; maternal grandmother, Jimmie Nell Hicks of Waynesboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eugene Pavatte, and paternal grandparents, Winton and Ruth Smith. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Pastor Kyle Goen will officiate. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
