Roger W. "Chigger" Childress, age 62 of Murfreesboro died Tuesday December 4, 2018. He was a native of Fayetteville, TN  and was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Stewart and father, William Albert Childress. Mr. Childress was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Kroger. He was former seafood manager at the Georgetown, Cason Lane, and Irongate Kroger. Mr. Childress was promoter of Johnny Fleeman's Goument Foods, and was a member of AGR Fraternity at MTSU

He is survived by his wife of 23years, Candace Miller Childress; sister, Anita Norman of Fayetteville; step-mother, Betty Childress of Murfreesboro; In laws Jean and Joe Miller of Meridianville, AL, sister in law Christie Walker and husband Doug and nephew Reid Walker of New Market, AL. Step sister Kris  Hinson and husband Jon of Charlotte, NC, Step brother Bud Pernol of Santa Monica, CA and other nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life service will be 11AM Saturday December 15th at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Paul Clayton will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service. www.woodfinchapel.com
