Robert Young, age 71, of Smyrna, formerly of Evansville, Indiana died Sunday at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN. He was a native of Evansville, IN and a son of Fern Doninger Young of Evansville and the late Elmer Young. He was also preceded in death by his brother Donald Young. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter Debbie Preston; two grandchildren Erin and Jackson Preston and a great granddaughter Abigail Jones all of Smyrna; brothers Kenneth Young and his wife Marilyn, James Young and his wife Cindy; a sister Patricia VanZant, and a sister in law Wilma Young, all of Evansville. Mr. Young retired with forty plus years of service to Whirlpool. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN.
