Robert "Bob" White Jr., age 93, passed away April 11, 2017.  He was a native of Ft. Worth, Texas, and son of the late Robert W. and Florence Laniger White.  A private family service will be held a later date.

Mr. White is survived by his son, Rob White and daughter-in-law Karen and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dottie.

Mr. White was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the 91st Infantry during its campaign from North Africa through Italy.   He married Dorothy "Dottie" Davis on August 2nd, 1952.  They lived and worked in the former Panama Canal Zone for 40 years during which time Bob was an educator and principal for the Canal Zone school system.

Upon returning to the United States, they settled in Smyrna, TN where they became active members in the community and the First Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mr. White may be made to a local food bank or the Meals on Wheels program.
