Robert C. "RC" Thomason, Jr. age 70 of Smithville, Tennessee died Saturday, March 28, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was a native of Maury County, Tennessee and was a son of the late Robert C. Thomason, Sr. and Irene Wyrick Thomason. He was also preceded by brothers, Jimmy Duke and Paul Thomason, sisters, Robbie Walls and Era Morgan.

Survivors include siblings, Dale Duke, Ray Thomason and wife Pam, and Wanda Lewis; his much-loved feline companion Lucy; and a host of other loving family and friends.

R.C. loved playing drums and enjoyed all sporting events where he could be with his friends. He was a 1974 graduate of Riverdale High School and following graduation, he went on to attend the Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Murfreesboro.

Visitation with the Thomason family will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral services beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Cody, Kyle, and Shelby Dunaway, Sean Duke, Hector Aguilera, and Bradley Ward serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy and Jack Dunaway, and Paul Thomason.
