Robert Steven "Bob" Rimbey, age 68 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was a native of Rockford, IL and the son of Charles and Carmella Salvaggio Rimbey.  Bob was a graduate of Boylan Catholic High School and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Northern Illinois University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Visitation will be from 9:00am until 10:00am Saturday with a Funeral Mass 10:00am Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father John Sims Baker will officiate; assisting will be Deacon John D'Amico. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Preceded in death by his father Charles Rimbey, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Rimbey, his mother, Carmella Salvaggio Rimbey, sisters, Judy and Marlene Rimbey, nephew, Guy Rimbey, nieces Carly and Mary Rimbey,  step-daughter Christina Glinski (Frank), grandchildren, Isabella Tucker (Jason), Alex Glinski (LeeAnn), Sean McCain, Cameron Maples and Liam Maples, beloved Boompa to AJ Glinski, Max Tucker, Oliver Tucker and Joseph Glinski.

Mr. Rimbey was an Elementary School Teacher, a very active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and served in the US Army Reserves.
