Robert Slim Smithson age 66, was born on May 8, 1945 and departed this life on May 13, 2011. He was the son Mrs. Grace Smithson and the late William Smithson. Mr. Smithson is survived by his constant companion and caregiver Huey Miller; sisters Katherine Windrow and Sue Hibdon of Rockvale; fourteen nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends at Cedar Park. He was preceded in death by his brothers William and Henry Smithson; sister Barbara Jones; nephew Joe Smithson and niece Sherry Smithson. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Frank Lipetri will officiate.
