Robert N. Scott, age 83, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, at his home in Murfreesboro, TN. Son of the late Norman G. and Francis Scott. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Scott. Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charolette Scott, daughter in law Sandra Scott of Miami, Floridadaughters Cheryl (Steve) Roberts of Nashville, Duanita (David) Osborne of Murfreesboro, sons Timothy (Deborah) Scott of Hermitage, Thomas (April) Scott of Rockvale and sister Patricia (Fred) Palmer of Merritt Island, Florida. He is survived by eight grandchildren: Jacob (Leslie) Osborne, Christopher Scott, Melissa (James) East, Lauren Scott, Jesse Scott, Lucas Osborne, Dylan Scott, and Chelsea Scott as well as two great grand daughters Hailey Barker and Hana Jae East. Mr. Scott is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for the Department of Defense for 38 years which involved a lot of world travel. He loved sailing his 37 foot sailboat. He was an avid reader and book collector and an embellished story teller. Quick to smile and ready always to engage with those around him, he will be missed.
