Robert "Bob" George Sanborn, age 84, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quint Henry Sanborn and Marion Elizabeth Gray; sisters, Gloria Moldscheck and Blanche Sanborn; brothers, David Sanborn and Bill Sanborn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Buchanan Sanborn; sons, John (Jean) and Fredrick (Angela); sister, Ruth Sanborn; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Bob was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a long-time member of Family Worship Center and was a painter by trade. He painted everything from airplanes and barns to Peterbilt truck parts. He loved riding his various motorcycles, working with his hands, and telling a good story.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will follow at Cothran Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
