Robert Joseph Rogers, age 56, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 due to complications of diabetes. He was born on February 7, 1957 in Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Rogers and his grandparents, Joseph and Hazel DeMaria and Robert and Orpha Rogers. Memorial service will be 3:00pm Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, TN with Military Honors. Phillip Robinson will officiate. He is survived by his wife, Linda and their children. Daughters, Jamie (Charlie) Clark, Sonja (Bruce) Shelton, Beth (Wayne) Hill, Bridget Elsbernd and a son, Geoffrey Hupp, 10 grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Clark, Rhaea and Rhagan Burton, Tyler and Brittin Hill, Alyssa Elsbernd, Cortnie Bradley and Trent and Austin Hupp. He also leaves behind his mother, Joanne Hopkins, father, Everett Rogers, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Inez Daniels, sister, Carol (Russ) Dodd, brother, Michael Rogers, sister-in-law, Angie Rogers, half sisters, Sherry Floyd and Ida DeMarco, half brother, Lee Rogers, step brothers, Wayne (Debbie) Hopkins and Rick (Lynda) Hopkins, and step sisters, Joanne Shepard and Thelma Johnson, step grandmother, Orpha DeMaria and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Bob was a member of New Vision Baptist Church. He was in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 until 1980. He moved his family to Murfreesboro, TN in 1985 and was in the trucking industry.
