Robert Read, age 72 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Saturday at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a native of Chicago and the son of the late Paschal and Christine Read.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sally Read; three daughters, Pamela Bay and her companion Bub Hoolahan of Franklinville, NJ, Michelle Pomykalski and husband Scott of Frankfort, IL, and Wendy Johnson and husband Tim of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brent and Katelynn Redrow, Jake, Madison, and Nick Pomykalski, Lee Russell and Jordan Johnson; two sisters, Bonnie Jonas of Chicago and Christine Sandor of Murfreesboro.

Mr. Read retired as a quality engineer from Navistar International Harvester.
