ROBERT STANLEY PITTS age 96 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday April 4, 2011 at NHC. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Ross R. and Mary Sloan Pitts. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Burchett Pitts, brother, Col. Raymond Pitts, and sister, Hazel Pitts Lamb. Mr. Pitts is survived by a daughter, Patsy Paul and husband Harry of Morrison, TN; grandchildren, Kim Thompson of Morrison, TN and Robin Raines of Woodbury, TN; several great grandchildren; and cousin, Dorothy Sloan Rowlette of Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Marion West officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Pitts was a member of Florence Church of Christ and was retired from the Railroad and a truck driver.
