Obituary

Robert R. Bob Mosley, age 81 of Smyrna passed from this life to be with his Lord on Friday May 25, 2012. He was a devoted and loving husband of Kellena Alley Doros Mosley for 62 years. God blessed them with six children, Ray Mosley and wife Ima of Nashville, Doug Mosley and Fianc Betsy of Brentwood, Phillip Mosley and wife Ruth of Fayetteville, N.C., Judy Whitehouse of Murfreesboro, devoted daughter-in-law, Kristina of Wisconsin, widow of son Mike and was also preceded in death by his son Andy. He treasured his nine grandchildren, Phillip, Leslie, Jesse, Jake, Robbie, Kellena Mosley, Amanda, Regina Whitehouse, Robin Hunt, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and Lifelong friend Charles N. Stamps. Mr. Mosley was ordained a Deacon, in 1960 at Ivy Memorial Baptist Church and was honored as Deacon Emeritus in 2004 at Stones River Baptist Church. He served over 52 years in the office of Deacon, and taught numerous Sunday School Classes, and was Leader of the home visitation teams, soul winning teams. His first love was telling others about Jesus Christ. He was a renowned Master Truck Mechanic and know nationwide as one of the best Transmissions Gear Specialist in the country. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Stones River Baptist Church with Dr. Oscar White, Rev. Doug Mosley, and Rev. Randall Odom officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00PM Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna 615-459-3254 www.woodfinchapel.com
