Robert C. Morton Sr, age 78, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, January 23, 2012. A native of Nashville, TN he was the son of the late Jack and Louise Clements Morton. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Pilewicz; two grandchildren, Jesse Morton and Shea Leaver; one brother, Billy Morton and a sister, Nancy Douglas. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro. Rev. Frank Lipetri will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Ann England Morton; sons, Bobby Morton of Bradyville and Nickie Morton of Murfreesboro; daughters, Connie Richardson of Arrington, Teresa Lipetri and Lisa Baltimore both of Murfreesboro; one brother, Don Morton of Santa Rosa, CA, 13 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Morton was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He was a retired maintenance mechanic with MTA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro. 893-5151
