Robert Franklin Mick, age 53 of Murfreesboro died Friday September 30, 2011. He was a native of Weston West Virginia and was the son of the late, Rev. C Franklin Mick, and Mary Jane Parsons Mick. Mr. Mick was a co-Pastor of Kings Chapel Baptist Church and worked for Standard Register. Mr. Mick was a retired Veteran on the United States Army with Special Operations. He was a member of CMA Chapter 940 Cornerstone Riders. He is survived by his wife, Dena Guffey; children, Melissa Thompson and husband Jason of Mississippi, Regina Elkin and husband Adam of Clarksville; Tedra Nichols and husband Chadd of Chattanooga; Rodney Hall and wife Peggy of Murfreesboro, and Marsha McKelvy and husband Brad of Murfreesboro; eleven grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Rose and husband Dallas of West Virginia; Anita Nazelrod of West Virginia, Patrice Cavender and husband Ed of Pennsylvania ; brother, Ralph Wolf Carl Mick of Nevada. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Mick to Way of Hope at any Mid-Sout Bank 653-8027. Celebration of his life will be 4:00PM Sunday October 9, 2011 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor, Gary Dyer officiating. Military Honors will follow the service.
