Robert D. "Bob" "Mac" McReynolds, MSG, USF, retired, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015. He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Ruth McReynolds; his parents, Harry and Lillian McReynolds; brothers, Harry Jr. and William McReynolds; and sister, Jean Carr. A graveside service with full military honors will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Marshall Gupton will officiate. Mr. McReynolds is survived by his stepsons, Larry Counts and wife Wynnifred and Mike Counts and his wife, Pat; stepdaughter, Cheryl Winsett and her husband, Randy; three grandchildren, Wesley Counts, Chris Counts, and Richard Greenberg; and three great granddaughters. Sargent McReynolds served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. He worked at Vanderbilt University Engineering School for twenty-four years. Mr. McReynolds was also one of the founders of the Trinity Christian Church in Smyrna, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mr. McReynolds can be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
