Robert Morris "Rob" McConnell Jr., age 51 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, December 15, 2018.  Born in West Monroe, LA, Robert was a native of Louisiana and loved his heritage especially the hunting and fishing and cooking.  He graduated from MTSU, and lived and worked in Rutherford County during his adult life.  He was a Realtor at the time of his death and an entrepreneur.  Gregarious by nature, one of Rob's joys was cooking for, meeting and serving people as a partner in B & T's Cajun Catering that served thousands in the area over the years.  He was the past owner of  Robert's Auto Repair.

Robert was former president of the Noon Exchange Club, a member of the Sportsman Club, and he was a key participant in the Upper Room men's Bible study group.  Robert was also an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Robert is survived by his wife, Michelle Cha McConnell; children, Mason James McConnell, Sophia Jane McConnell; mother, Marilyn Evans Whitley and husband Steve Schaffer of Brentwood; Step mother, Lynda McConnell of Zachary, LA; grandfather, Rev. James Evans of Carencro, LA; sister, Melanie Jane Jacobs of Bossier City, LA; brother, Jordan McConnell and wife Cristina of Murfreesboro and  sister Mandy Nettles and husband Lance of Norwood, LA.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morris McConnell Sr.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 5pm – 7 pm at the Parish Hall St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 116 N Academy Street, Murfreesboro

A Celebration of Life Service 10am Friday, December 21,2018 at the church followed by a reception / visitation in the parish hall
