Robert Frank Martin, age 72, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2018. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late Will Henry and Mattie Thelma Nipper Martin Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Martin; brothers, Will Martin Jr. and Horace Martin; and a sister, Willow Dean Martin Lile.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Phillip Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his loving sister, Lola Martin; nephews, Dennis Nipper and his wife Karla; and Dean Nipper, all of Murfreesboro; many nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Jeanette Johnson of LaVergne; three step-grandchildren; a son; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Martin was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Delivery Press Operator with the Daily News Journal for many years. He also worked in Supplies at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Mr. Martin loved to garden and was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
