Robert Scott Lester, age 51 of Murfreesboro died sudden August 5, 2016. He was a native of Ann Arbor MI and was a member of First Free Methodist Church in Smyrna. Mr. Lester had worked for the City of Murfreesboro, retired from Nissan and had worked for Mid Cumberland Transit.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Lester; children, Lindsey Lester of Smyrna, Kinsey Lester of North Carolina, Forrest Lester of Smyrna, Tresney Lester of Bell Buckle; mother, Carol Lester Turner  and her husband Joe of Smyrna; step children, Tiffany Goin of Murfreesboro and Jeremy Goin of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brooks, Liliana, Madison, Payton, and Gunner; sisters, Lisa Johnston and husband Tim of Smyrna, Julie Whitley and husband Jeff of Florida, brothers, Paul Lester and wife Danielle of Murfreesboro, Fred Lester and wife Janice of Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lester is preceded in death by his father, Fred Lester and two sisters, Sherry Lester and Mary Dozier.

Funeral service will be 6:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday and 4:00PM to 6:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
