Robert Lee "Bobby" Eaton, Sr., age 82, of Murfreesboro, passed away on August 1, 2015. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late A. W. and Jesse Spence Eaton. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. David Bunting will officiate. Burial will follow in Smotherman Cemetery. Mr. Eaton is survived by his wife, Mildred Smotherman Eaton, son, Lee Eaton and his wife Leann of Lascassas, granddaughter, Evie Eaton, brothers, A.W. (Alice) Eaton, Jr., Pete (Joyce) Eaton, and Larry (Connie) Eaton all of Murfreesboro; and a sister Mary Lowe of Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Eaton, Audrey Arnold and June Wilson. Mr. Eaton was a member of Northfield Blvd Church of Christ and had served in the United States Army. He was in the maintenance department at Rutherford Hospital and Middle Tennessee Medical Center for 38 years until his retirement.
