Robert Gerald Lamback

Robert Gerald “Gerry” Lamback, age 80, of Murfreesboro and St. Augustine Florida peacefully passed July 22, 2026, in Murfreesboro Tn. Services will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel Murfreesboro Monday August 3rd 2:00pm.

Born February 12, 1946, in Augusta, Georgia, to Mildred and Vincent Lamback. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Frank Vincent Lamback II. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debi Lamback, his sons, Brian and Josh, a sister, Beth, brother-in-law, Bill, as well as his grandchildren, Joey, Parker, and great-grandchild, Oliver, his nephew, Brad, and niece, Bree.

Gerry’s education began at Lake Worth High Florida, culminating in his pursuit of mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee. His career of over 35 years was with Pratt and Whitney aircraft and Belcan. He joined the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country.

Gerry was active member of his community. He contributed his time to the Lake Worth Jaycees, the Stuart Rod and Reel Club in Florida and the disaster relief team at St. Mark's Methodist Church.

Gerry’s heart belonged to the water; he was an avid fisherman and boat captain who always had a rod and reel in his hands. His passions were fishing, boating, chocolate, country music and his Tennessee Volunteers always wearing Tennessee orange.

Gerry's kindness, wisdom, and knowledge were hallmarks of his character, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know him. His family finds solace in the memories they shared and the lessons he imparted through his actions.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Peterson Foundation for Parkinsons, in memory of Gerry Lamback.

Gerry's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time. They take comfort in knowing that he will remain forever in their hearts, a guiding light and cherished memory.
