Robert Douglas Hoover, age 50, of Christiana passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Herbert Eugene Hoover. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Hoover.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Ron Harper and Joshua Houston will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sanford Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Randy Farris, Gilbert Hoover and the Elders and Deacons of Salem Creek Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Thomas Hoover, mother, Dorothy McDonald Hoover Stroop, sons, Justin Michael Thomas Hoover, Andrew Eugene Hoover, Christopher Denis Hoover, Parker Douglas Hoover, brother, Gilbert Hoover and his wife Melanie of Lawrenceville, GA, sisters, Marsha Denise Corbin and her husband Donnie of Fayetteville, TN and Pamela Jean Hoover of Murfreesboro.

Mr. Hoover was a member and deacon of Salem Creek Church of Christ and a Service Tech for Progress Rental Homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Food Box Program at Salem Creek Church of Christ.
