Robert W. Gwynne, Jr., age 77 of Smyrna, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. A native of Smyrna, TN, he was the son of the late Robert W. Gwynne, Sr. and Mary Evalyn Carter Gwynne. Mr. Gwynne is survived by his wife, Jannette Lee Gwynne; three daughters, Gwen Baker and her husband Kelly of Bolivar, MO, Geri Carter and her husband Ed of Murfreesboro, TN, and Gina Gwynne of Nashville, TN; one son, Robert W. Gwynne, III and his wife Lisa of Lebanon, TN; two sisters, Anne Camp of Smyrna, TN, and Kathey Butler of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren, Teri Carter, Dakota Carter, Callie Martin, Dale Baker, Robert W. Gwynne, IV, and Camryn Gwynne; three great grandchildren, Nathan, Jase, and Troian. Mr. Gwynne was a retired division manager and government relations liaison for State Farm Insurance Companies, as well as a cattle farmer. Mr. Gwynne loved outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna.
